We count on the generosity of our members and donors to support the Y’s Financial Assistance program, which focuses on children and teens and provides financial assistance, on a sliding scale fee, to those in times of hardship. Gifts to the financial assistance fund make a huge difference in the lives of children in our community. If you feel that you qualify for assistance, applications are available at the Welcome Center or download it here: Financial Assistance Application

At the Y, we are dedicated to ensuring that our facilities, programs, and services are open and welcoming to all. As a part of this effort, we offer our members access to YMCA facilities across the United States that participate in Nationwide Membership. This way our members can use the Y as often as they like or need, making it easier to achieve their health and wellness goals. Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the country, outside of the Danville Family YMCA, through membership at your home Y. We offer this because we want to help you reach your goals wherever you live, work, or travel. This is an essential part of our mission.
There are more than 2,700 Y’s in 10,000 communities across the nation. Find a Y anywhere in the United States here.
Your membership card is your passport to the Y. Cards are non-transferable and remain the property of the Y. You are expected to present your card at the Welcome Center each time you enter the facility. Lost cards may be replaced for $5.00. Forgotten Card Fee is $1.00.
All YMCA Members and Guests must adhere to the Danville Family YMCA Code of Conduct.
Personal Training, swim lessons, and coaching is available for an additional fee. For liability reasons, we do not allow outside trainers or coaches to privately instruct other members or guests on YMCA property. YMCA Fee-Based Training & Coaching Policy

How to cancel:
1. You must request cancellation of your draft in writing. Membership fees are continuous until cancelled in writing. A written request to cancel must be received by the last day of the previous month of your monthly bank draft. Written requests must be performed in person by use of a YMCA cancellation form found at the Front Desk. No cancellation will be accepted by phone, fax, or mail. All request to cancel received on or after the 1st day of the month will take effect the following month. Memberships that are cancelled by you or terminated by the YMCA will be subject to pay the start-up fee upon rejoining from a lapse of 60 days.
2. In the event of a non-payment for any reason, the YMCA reserves the right to collect the amount due on or before the next scheduled draft date. If funds are unavailable on the scheduled date for payment, your draft will be re-drafted daily within the next 30 days and you will be charged a $25 return fee. Unavailability of funds includes non-sufficient funds, closed account, decline, exception, hold, expired credit card, etc. If the fees have not been electronically collected after 30 days, your membership fees may be payable in person at the branch. If not paid within an additional 30 days, your membership may be terminated. You (or any member on your membership) will no longer be able to participate in programs or use the facility until the outstanding balance has been paid and the membership has been reinstated.
